Academic Vita

Dr. Mengyu Li is an associate professor in the College of Liberal Arts, Journalism & Communication, Ocean University of China , she has once been a visiting scholar of the Institute for Intercultural Communication at Communication department in the University of Louisville,  now she is the memeber of  IAICS and CAFIC, and her major field is “intercultural communication” and “comparative literature”. 

Through the years of  teaching and research, she has developed a keen interest in academic research. In recent years , she has finished writing two books (one book as a co-author),  and has translated two books(as co-translator for one book) and has published more than thirty academic papers,among which the papers such as “ The Unique Values of Chinese Traditional Cultural Time Orientation:In Comparison with Western Cultural Time Orientation”and “On the Traditional Chinese Notion of “Harmony” Resources to the Intercultural Communication” have been published in the journals “Intercultrual Communication Study ”and “China Media Research ”respectively. At the present time, she is carrying out two research programs in intercultral communication, one is the compilation of the Chinese textbook Intercultural Communication Conspectus , another one is the project “ The Study of Intercultural Communication  between China and the Unites States.”
